Government says it will share information with credit reference agencies from March 2015

Parents who fail to pay the child maintenance that they owe could be turned down for mortgages, credit cards and loans in the future under government plans to record details on their credit file.

From March 2015 the government intends to share information from parents payment records in England, Scotland and Wales with a credit reference agency.
